New for Fall 2015: Event Co-located with the 2nd Annual US-Cuba Corporate Counsel Summit*

The recent U.S. administration decision to begin the process of removing Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism has paved the way for U.S. based project finance, consumer finance and other financial services companies to begin the process of entering the Cuban commercial sphere.

With over 12m inhabitants, a GDP of $68bn, but also with an aging infrastructure,Cuba is an intriguing prospect for the international investing community.

The Cuba Finance, Infrastructure & Investment Summit scheduled for September 2015 is the third event in Momentum’s Cuba series. The U.S.-Cuba Corporate Counsel Summit (March 2015) and The Cuba Opportunity Summit (April 2015) between them attracted more than 320 high-ranking business, government, policy, and academic leaders many of whom are already exploring the potential for increasing trade with one of the largest and most critical markets in the Caribbean.
Prior events have sold-out well in advance.

The summit will bring together investors, advisors and policy makers and is designed to provide answers to the following:

  • What are the biggest investment opportunities in the short, medium and long-term?
  • What are the biggest challenges facing investors?
  • What are the legal, regulatory and bureaucratic hurdles to investing in Cuba.
  • Understanding current Cuban economic reforms – and anticipating which economic reforms might come next.
  • Quantifying the domestic market for financial services in Cuba and assessing the impact of the Cuban diaspora on remittances.
  • Timelines and challenges for monetary reform.

The conference will also feature sector spotlights and industry case studies

  • Telecoms, Technology & Internet
  • Agriculture
  • Tourism & Hospitality
  • Infrastructure
  • Plus: Exploring the Impact of the Mariel Free Trade Zone

Nasdaq BellDiscussions around the opportunities for investment in Cuba infrastructure projects are already taking place and with many U.S. businesses seeking the knowledge and relationships that will allow them to enter one of the last closed markets in the world, the finance community has an integral and critical role to play.

The learning curve is steep. Banks, funds and other lenders will need to navigate complex Cuban and U.S. regulations, find trusted advisers, obtain the right introductions, and understand the risk and return profiles of the emerging opportunities.

The Cuba Finance, Infrastructure & Investment Summit is co-located with the The U.S.-Cuba Corporate Counsel Summit and is part of the only event series proven to give you the practical understanding and relationship network you need to master this dynamic and rapidly changing new market.

Past series keynotes include:

  • Roberta S. Jacobson, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, U.S. Department of State
  • Stefan M. Selig, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator, Small Business Administration

Prior Event Partners include:

  • Knowledge@Wharton,
  • The Lauder Institute
  • The Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA)
  • CNBC
  • Tres Mares

Join us for the only event that will bring together the individuals who will shape the Cuban investment landscape for years to come. “First movers” will have a major advantage which means that having the right strategy in place – as well as a deep understanding of “how things are done” in Cuba – will be the keys to success.

Both prior events in the series sold out well in advance. Register today and ensure you don’t miss your opportunity to play your part in the future of Cuban investment.
