Guillermo is currently vice president of Latin America, Mexico and US Hispanic at IMG, a global leader in sports, media and fashion, where he is responsible for rights acquisitions, as well as sales, business development and production across the entire region of Latin America with a specific focus on Mexico and the US Hispanic market.
Prior to joining IMG, Guillermo was a White House appointed general manager to The United States Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) where he oversaw all of its media platforms, which include Radio and TV Marti, as well as martinoticias.com.
With over 20 years of experience in nearly every facet of broadcasting Guillermo has been an independent consultant advising international clients and multi national corporations on the US Hispanic market. Most notably, he served as Vice President of Special Events, News & Sports for Telemundo Network where among other projects he was in charge of all aspects of production and marketing of the first ever Spanish language broadcasts of The Olympic Games in the US. Before Telemundo, Guillermo worked in both news and sports at Univision Network, where he was Senior Producer of FIFA World Cup ’94 and World Cup ’98.
An Emmy Award winning producer and a co-winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award, Guillermo graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in communication and a minor in History from Florida State University. He also holds certificates from Harvard Business School, Florida International University and the University of Miami.
