Paul Roth has spoken at the following Knowledge @ Wharton events:
Paul Roth is responsible for sales and service for all AT&T consumer products in retail channels,including company-owned stores, dealers and national retailers. He was appointed to his current position in November 2008.
Since January 2007, he served as President-Sales and Marketing, where he was responsible for all sales and marketing and customer care for AT&T’s wireless operations, formerly Cingular Wireless.
Previously he served as executive Vice President-External Affairs and Public Relations for Cingular,where he was responsible for state and federal legislative and regulatory activity as well as the company’s public relations efforts.
Roth joined Cingular Wireless in December 2004, from SBC where he was president-SBC Midwest Consumer Markets and responsible for all consumer markets sales and customer service in the region. He also served as CEO of SBC’s Prodigy Communications Corporation where he oversaw dialup and broadband Internet service.
Prior to his positions in consumer markets and Prodigy, Roth held senior executive positions for two years in sales and customer care for SBC Telecom, Inc., as well as consumer sales in four Midwestern states for Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Prior to these positions, Roth worked 13 years for CellularOne and Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems in Boston, Kansas City, Dallas, West Texas and Oklahoma City. He also previously worked for AT&T and Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dallas, where he began his career in 1981.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1980.
